Mikel is a very hands on daddy and does the changing and burping and holding. My parents are here from Taiwan and conveniently are jetlagged. They take JL from ~3am to 10am to let Mike and I sleep. Then from 10am to 5pm we are at home together and all awake. Then from 5pm to 3am, Mike and I take care of him while my parents sleep. He sleeps best in our arms, though will sleep in his bed once he is totally out. I am pumping and have lots of reserve so my parents do one feed in the morning. He takes both the bottle and breast, which is nice.
We noticed he was jaundiced on day of life 5 and took him to see his doc. He was just below light level so we just fed him a lot. He takes about 2-3 oz every 3hrs or so. It is amazing how much he poops and pees. He is just plain amazing!
